An innovative lightbox that combines a static printed graphic with a moving animated effect is now commercially available in Europe. The Humoled Illmax involves an LED panel at the back of a lightbox. Its coloured LEDs are programmed to create the illusion of movement by converting video format into data. By leaving some areas static, it creates an attention-grabbing effect. "We belive this is the evolution of the backlit lightbox, this combination of colour and animation is unique", said Humoled international sales manager Tan Kee Kaet. 

The firm was on the DHJ International Decoprint booth.
